Rachael Sood
Hailing from South Louisiana, Rachael Sood is a diabetes Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Diabetes Collective (TDC), a consulting business and infusion corporation offering contemporary, comprehensive, and convenient diabetes services focused on individuals at risk for or living with diabetes. She practices diabetology, which is a branch of endocrinology, serving in a hybrid practice role as both a health care provider and certified diabetes care and education specialist.
TDC is the first and only Direct Diabetes Care service line by an N.P. in the United States of America. It’s mission includes bringing the most current practice therapies and approaches to the region, plus offering cutting-edge technology and therapies, while putting patients at the forefront of their medical decision making.
She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education. She is an adjunct nursing instructor for LSU Health Sciences School of Nursing in New Orleans. Rachael is also a member of the American Diabetes Association, and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Rachael enjoys public speaking, writing, and is a known digital opinion leader and content creator collaborating with people living with diabetes. Her favorites things are education on social media, population health, t1d advocacy, and folding diabetes technology into all practice settings. The Louisiana State Nurses Association named her among the “Top 40 trailblazing nurses” in 2024 for her innovative approaches to patient care. She also recently received a nomination for the CDCES of the year for 2026.
