Lance Bass

Lance Bass is a pop icon and New York Times best-selling author who was diagnosed with diabetes during the COVID-19 lockdown. He was initially misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes before learning his true diagnosis: type 1.5. After discovering that he is living with this adult-onset autoimmune form of diabetes, Lance was able to find a clear path forward to manage his health and glucose levels.

He initially rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s as *NSYNC became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. In 2006, Lance came out publicly as gay and was awarded the Human Rights Campaign Visibility Award later that year. He is co-chair and has been on the board for EMA (Environmental Media Association) for nearly two decades. As a Dexcom Warrior, Lance uses his platform to educate and advocate for diabetes awareness, sharing how the right technology can make all the difference.
