Harsimran (Sim) Singh
Harsimran (Sim) Singh, PhD, MA, is Senior Director of Behavioral Science at Dexcom, where she leads research focused on how biosensing supports behavior change, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes across diabetes and metabolic health. Her work integrates patient-reported outcomes, qualitative research, and real-world glucose data to inform product development, clinical strategy, and education for healthcare professionals.
Dr. Singh received her PhD in Health Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a focus on diabetes management, and completed a behavioral diabetes fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she later served as faculty at the Center for Behavioral Medicine. After relocating to California, she developed the behavioral health program at the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Hospital, supporting populations including gestational diabetes, young adults with type 1 diabetes, and people with prediabetes. She subsequently led behavioral research at Tandem Diabetes Care, generating real-world evidence on the glycemic and psychosocial impact of automated insulin delivery systems.
With more than two decades of experience in behavioral diabetes research, Dr. Singh has advised organizations including the American Diabetes Association, Diabetes UK, and the California Diabetes and Pregnancy Program. Her work focuses on understanding how patients, caregivers, and clinicians use data to make everyday decisions that improve metabolic health outcomes.
